Requiem are a Rock/Metal cover band from the North East UK. Made up of experienced musicians. Including former members of legendary bands Fist and Blitzkrieg. We play a mixture of songs from the 1970's to the noughties encompassing most genres of rocking music. i.e Classic Rock, AOR, Grunge and Heavy Metal. Classic songs are played however we mainly concentrate on album tracks as a way of offering something a little different to the usual standard pub rock songs. For eg. Soundgarden, Dio, Y&T, Faith No More, Alice in Chains, Joe Satriani, Metallica, Muse, Judas Priest and many, many more...We also include a few obscure tracks and popular songs by Fist and Blitzkrieg. The band was formed 2008 by Glenn S Howes, Sean Taylor and Duncan Emmerson. The band was originally called GSD. The name was changed to Requiem in January 2009.
Former members : Sean Taylor 2008 & 2011, Mark Hancock drums 2009, Kevin Bick stand in on drums 2009, Gary Hemsley drums 2009 - 2010. Duncan Emmerson 2008 - 2010 bass and Tom Alexander on bass/vocals 2010.
Requiem are a fully established band and are a particular favourite of the biker rally circuit. The band are regarded as a local "supergroup".
