On The Case is the brainchild of Newcastle musician Jem Caisley. He started trading in 1998 after a pub manager asked him for help to promote his live music nights. With his advertising background Jem realised there was a gap in the market that needed to be filled. One business course later and a grant from Business Link North East saw the launch of On The Case.
The business has grown since its inception into a recognised advertising platform for the local pub industry and is a trusted name on the North East music scene.
Jem worked as an advertising manager at The legendary Newcastle Riverside venue (Melbourne Street Newcastle Upon Tyne) before starting On The Case.
Nirvana played their first ever UK gig at The Riverside back in 1989, Oasis had a legendary fight here with members of the audience and even Bowie and The Stones played here in their time. But one day in 1999 somebody came along, closed it down and plonked a dirty great dance club on it.....R.I.P Riverside.
